Finally, finally, finally I lie fully in the trend instead of lagging behind as usual. When it comes to representing fashion trends, I am much more like an opossum…that was run over…and even this animal would find it’s way through the clothing-jungle much faster. It feels good to think the suede skirt is “ultratrendy“ BEFORE it’s already thrown out the shops. Exceptionally, I can still find a variety of them and I don’t feel as if I’m falling into a wardrobe in the dark.
In my defence, I still haven’t found the best-before date on my clothes…is it stitched onto the label? How should I know how long it is uncritical to wear a specific garment? But even a blind hen sometimes finds a grain of corn. This time my corn was Rose Quartz and Serenity. Two colors I wear quite every year, but now it’s special. Because guess what?! This year these colors are the trend colors!
If now overweight und wrinkles are declared trendy, too, then 2017 is going to be my year!

My LondonVlog is online! You can watch it HERE!
I know it took a while, but as they say: Good things come to those who wait.
Ok, to be honest, sometimes my everyday working life turns into a complete mess. Well, most of the time! But every freelancer is different…messy.
But so many asked for the Vlog and waited in anticipation – so here is the official post.
And after watching the Vlog (and OF COURSE all the other videos 😉 don’t worry, I only have like 4 or 5 clips) don’t forget to follow me on YouTube. There are more videos about to come – lots of funny stuff, helpful clips, of course more than enough cat content and travel vlogs. I can’t promise when or how regular I will upload- BUT I try my best! 😀
There is a Highlight!
I considered to give you something back, because I feel obliged to create (and give you) an added value. You sweeten my days with lovely comments and I want to give something back.
I struggled with myself but now I found something I can tell and show you and I am sure, the Blogger-scene will hate me for that – but I want to tell you a secret!
Nope, sorry – I will tell you 3 secrets!
The search of these secrets costs me so much time, because people LOVE to tell you the brand of their clothes, foodhacks etc. But we won’t get sponsored by this one Information.
I will reveal this information.
Something I wish I knew before, it costed me so much time to get that information and honestly, everybody wants pretty Instagram-pictures! I reveal the exact addresses of these 3 locations in my Vlog!
You already saw all the outfits on my Blog. But if you want to go through the entire series again, here are the links. HERE IS THE POST IN FRONT OF THE PINK DOOR. There is also a making of sequence of this shooting in the Vlog, just in case you always wanted to see how my shootings look like, watch the Vlog. And here is another secret – it’s definitely not as glamorous as everyone thinks. -.- HERE IS THE POST IN FRONT OF THE GRAFFITI. I told you the exact address in the Vlog. But this place is a true hotspot. Take some time to explore all the cool foodtrends, unique shops and of course graffitis. There are so many colorful ones.
Just a hint, don’t go there on sundays – it’s full of tourists!
And HERE IS THE POST IN FRONT OF THE BLUE RESTAURANT. I have to admit, this isn’t everyones favorite location, but I love it. I saw this one in an outfit post of a famous german blogger and it took me days to find that spot. YOU don’t have to search for this cool location.
Tell me, in case you like that idea, so I also tell you my addresses in my Iceland-Vlog.
Keep in mind, I had a shooting there in front of a glacier lagoon and stood on a airplane wrack! :

You can see the BigBen and more London stuff in my London-Video: HERE
weekly review: Typical female! They want, what they can’t have. (But honestly, I always wanted to shoot infront of the BigBen). While I was sure that travelling was the only thing I missed in my life to be truly happy, I am more than overcharged and it’s still only May. I had a lovely trip to Iceland. I came back for a few days and stayed in my lovely, quiet village – just for a very short break, because directly after we head for London. However, this trip started with a total mess.
Already while planning the trip I felt this pleasant, well known feeling in my stomach – less a feeling and more a premonition – that everything will go down the drain! But I’ve been afraid of travelling (it’s even worse beeing afraid of flying, because you fear the entire trip, not only the flight) for years and that’s why I am afraid before EVERY trip and I have the feeling that – it will be terrific. It wasn’t as bad as before my Island-travel. I couldn’t sleep for days and spent the nights crying. Nevertheless, at some point, it became as horrible as those sleepless nights.
I already told you in THIS POST, (and here is an other lovely LONDON POST) that the trip already started rough.
We woke up at 3 o’clock in the morning and the combination of the usual travel stress and tiredness was fatal. We just overlooked which airport we had to drive to – and drove to the wrong one.
Finally we noticed, as the staff welcomed us with the words, that we were at the wrong airport and I answered with tears. It was impossible to get to the next city and the right airport within 30 minutes so we booked a new ticket with bitter faces. Our next stop was Hamburg and from there we took our 2nd flight to London, finally. However, the following week was amazing. Contrary to our doubts, it was astonishingly calm, productive and most of all lovely! We (me and the fat jelly) stayed next to the Mile-End Station, in a neat apartment in a central location and ascertained the city all day long. It was a nice mix of working (taking pictures) and sightseeing.
We’ve travelled together for a few times now, but this trip was special and, next to Iceland, my favorite trip.
Touri-Tip It’s quite likely I won’t write a special Touri-Tip-London-Stuff post. I try to, but in the end, I just don’t have that much time to visit those special places and eat extraordinary food or at least take pictures there, or keep those places in mind to write them down in an entry later.
And please don’t get mad at me, but I also won’t post a London haul. The simple reason is, that I don’t or rarely shop when I travel. I know, I am the WORST fashion blogger, but I just feel like I can get all those things online and I don’t want to spend double as much just because I bought it in London.
Furthermore, I travel with so much stuff and my bags are so heavy, that I fear I about adding something. 😀
Still, I will try to give you some extra hints in my weekly reviews.
Tip #1 – the train ticket: I’ll go out on a limb and say „don’t buy yourself an Oyster Card“. I know, it’s the Touri-Tip number one to get your hands on such a ticket, but a friendly man in London told us that when we buy a regular 7-days (or longer) train ticket, we’ll not only save money, but also have 50% discount on most tourist attractions.
Ask for the tourist-leaflet! You’ll have to fill the special offers out to get the discount, but it’s easy and takes like 30 seconds. The special offer is called „2 for 1“ and we saved money during a boat tour, Madame Tussauds and the London-Eye. So it’s totally worth it.
Tip #2- the Bus Tours: I love round trips and exploring the city in a sightseeing-bus or boat! We do at least one tour everytime we travel. In London I dipped into my purse and invited the fat jelly to the B-Bakery Afternoon Tea Bus Tour.
You combine a city tour AND afternoon tea. Is there something even more british?
You explore the city for up to 2 hours in a cute, old-school, red double decker that is lovingly decorated. You also eat the most delicious snacks, plus you drink tasty coffee, tea, kakao or even some alcoholic drinks. The drinks are for free!
EXTRA TIP: Drink the orange juice and ask for more (even food)!
We hesitated but at the end we got more than enough food – otherwise, they would throwit away…that’s what they told us.
Got angry about…: Pack some fancy clothes! We couldn’t enter some restaurants, bars, clubs etc. just because we wore „every day-clothes“ and sneakers. Many Londoners complained about this. Seems like all those public bars, restaurants and other places are armed with doormen that won’t let you in, repeating the words „we have a dress code“.
So take some fancy clothes with you OR reserve timely.
Missed | Foodporn: Or at least this is on the top of my „next time in London“-List! I don’t spend money on clothes while I travel BUT I spend way too much on food. You learn so much more about the culture when you try traditional food or some cool trends. There you find, and definetly taste, something that you can’t shop online!
But I missed some food trends, just because I didn’t know about them. (Definetly check out pinterest and stuff to get and update on local food trends etc).
How cool are, for example the rainbow bagels?
You get them in Brick Lane in a bagel shop. Next time you’re there, try them and tell me. 😀
